Isolation and characterization of a rice MADS box gene belonging to the AGL2 gene family

open access: yes, 2019
The MADS box genes that encode regulatory proteins play important soles in both the formation of newer meristem and the determination of floral organ identity.

USP25 stabilises GLI1 through K48‐linked deubiquitination within a reciprocal regulatory circuit in osteoarthritis models

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 10, October 2026.
GLI1‐centred USP25‐GLI1 reciprocal regulation in OA‐relevant models. Hedgehog/GLI1 signalling transcriptionally reinforces USP25 expression, while USP25 deubiquitinates and stabilises GLI1. This reciprocal circuit is associated with inflammatory and cartilage‐catabolic changes in the tested models.

DNA metabarcoding reveals key floral resources for native pollinators in post‐fire landscapes

open access: yesEcological Applications, Volume 36, Issue 7, October 2026.
Abstract Wildfires are a natural disturbance in dry ponderosa pine forest ecosystems, and are increasing in frequency and severity across western North America. The effects of wildfire on biotic and abiotic conditions have important implications for higher trophic levels, including native bees. We sought to quantify the responses of flowering plants to

First Observation of Wild Double‐Flowered Rhododendron nivale With Stamen Petaloidy and Possible Parallel Evolution

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 10, October 2026.
We report the first discovery of wild double‐flowered populations of the alpine dwarf shrub Rhododendron nivale on the eastern Qinghai‐Tibet Plateau. Two geographically isolated populations (> 800 km apart) show nearly identical stamen petaloidy and floral modifications in similar harsh high‐altitude habitats, suggesting possible parallel evolution ...

Phylogenetic analysis of MADS-box genes in gymnosperms

open access: yesPhylogenetic analysis of MADS-box genes in gymnosperms

C1qc Mediates Blood–Brain Barrier Disruption in a Mouse Model of Intracerebral Haemorrhage Through Microglia‐Derived Migrasomes

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2026.
Microglia‐derived migrasomes induce vascular endothelial pyroptosis through C1qc delivery, uncovering a novel mechanism of blood–brain barrier (BBB) disruption after intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) and proposing a novel therapeutic strategy targeting extracellular vesicles (EVs).

Optical genome mapping enhanced by refined variant interpretation in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, Volume 270, Issue 2, Page 241-254, October 2026.
Abstract Reliable detection of structural variants (SVs) and copy number variations (CNVs) is crucial in the contemporary diagnostics of pediatric B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B‐ALL). However, limitations of commonly used conventional and molecular cytogenetic methods may hinder the accurate genetic characterization of patients.

Graft Biology in the CRISPR Era: From Tissue Fusion to Genome Compatibility

open access: yesPlant-Environment Interactions, Volume 7, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Plant lineage has traditionally constrained grafting compatibility, with monocots generally considered incompatible because of their dispersed vascular bundles and limited secondary growth. Recent studies have shown that embryonic grafting can establish successful graft unions in selected monocot systems by exploiting early developmental ...
