B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Non-LTE abundances of Mg and K in extremely metal-poor stars and the evolution of [O/Mg], [Na/Mg], [Al/Mg] and [K/Mg] in the Milky Way [PDF]
LTE abundances of light elements in extremely metal-poor (EMP) stars have been previously derived from high quality spectra. New derivations, free from the NLTE effects, will better constrain the models of the Galactic chemical evolution and the yields ...

In patients treated with atezolizumab as a part of the MyPathway (NCT02091141) trial, pre‐treatment ctDNA tumor fraction at high levels was associated with poor outcomes (radiographic response, progression‐free survival, and overall survival) but better sensitivity for blood tumor mutational burden (bTMB).

A nucleotide‐independent, pan‐RAS‐targeted DARPin elicits anti‐tumor activity in a multimodal manner
We report a Designed Ankyrin Repeat Protein that binds and inhibits RAS proteins, which serve as central cell signaling hubs and are essential for the progression of many cancers. Its unique feature is that it does not discriminate between different RAS isoforms or mutations and is capable of binding to RAS in both its active (GTP‐bound) and inactive ...

A Novel Asymmetric Diffusion Path for Superior Ion Dynamic in High‐Voltage Mg‐Based Hybrid Batteries
Magnesium‐based batteries have garnered significant attention due to their high energy density, excellent intrinsic safety, and low cost. However, the application process has been hindered by the high Mg2+ ions diffusion barrier in solid‐state structures

In vivo Assessments of Bioabsorbable AZ91 Magnesium Implants Coated with Nanostructured Fluoridated Hydroxyapatite by MAO/EPD Technique for Biomedical Applications [PDF]
Although magnesium (Mg) is a unique biodegradable metal which possesses mechanical property similar to that of the natural bone and can be an attractive material to be used as orthopedic implants, its quick corrosion rate restricts its actual clinical ...

Unraveling LINE‐1 retrotransposition in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma
The novel RetroTest method allows the detection of L1 activation in clinical samples with low DNA input, providing global L1 activity and the identification of the L1 source element. We applied RetroTest to a real‐world cohort of HNSCC patients where we reported an early L1 activation, with more than 60% of T1 patients showing L1 activity.

Weld microfissuring in Inconel 718 minimized by minor elements [PDF]
Manganese, silicon, and magnesium markedly reduce the tendency of Inconel 718 to weld microfissuring. By combining a manganese, 0.20 percent by content, with silicon, greater than 0.25 percent content, or by adding 20 ppm of magnesium, the weld ...
