Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Needle electrodes are widely used in the research of corona discharge. Aiming at the problem of needle electrode discharge in a large‐scale space (tens or even hundreds of centimetres), a hybrid model was proposed in the previous work.

We study the Zeeman splitting in induced ballistic 1D quantum wires aligned along the [233] and [011] axes of a high mobility (311)A undoped heterostructure. Our data shows that the g-factor anisotropy for magnetic fields applied along the high symmetry [

Fusion, magnetic confinement [PDF]
An overview is presented of the principles of magnetic confinement of plasmas for the purpose of achieving controlled fusion conditions. Sec. 1 discusses the different nuclear fusion reactions which can be exploited in prospective fusion reactors and explains why special technologies need to be developed for the supply of tritium or {sup 3}He, the ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative ‘tauopathy’ with predominating pathology in the basal ganglia and midbrain. Caudal tau spread frequently implicates the cerebellum; however, the pattern of atrophy remains equivocal.

Plasma heat load in the toroidal gaps of the ITER-like plasma facing units in WEST tokamak
The heat load deposited in the toroidal gaps between two tungsten monoblocks remains an open problem to prepare safe and powerful experiments in ITER.

Usually the intuition from condensed-matter physics is used to provide ideas for possible confinement mechanisms in gauge theories. Today, with a clear but puzzling ``spaghetti'' confinement pattern, arising after a decade of lattice computer experiments,

ABSTRACT Background Accessing brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be challenging, especially for underserved patients, which may lead to disparities in neurological diagnosis. Method This mixed‐methods study enrolled adults with one of four neurological disorders: mild cognitive impairment or dementia of the Alzheimer type, multiple sclerosis ...
