Inside‐Outside ROS Therapeutic Strategy Based on Piezoelectric Nano‐Urchin for Drug‐Resistant Bacteria Biofilm Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The contribution of this study lies not only in enabling effective treatment of drug‐resistant biofilm infections, but also in establishing a transferable therapeutic paradigm: Ultrasound‐triggered mechanical forces synergistically enhance piezoelectric polarization and nanozyme activity, driving functional ROS generation inside and outside biofilms ...

Protein carbonylation and malondialdehyde levels.

open access: yes, 2015
Effects of ASE on protein carbonylation (A) and malondialdehyde levels (B) in liver from HF fed mice. Values are means±SEM, n = 8 for all groups. *Significantly different from the control and ASE groups (p≤.05).

Preparation, Component Identification, and Antioxidant Activity of Anthocyanins From Punica granatum “Tunisia”

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
The preparation for Tunisian pomegranate anthocyanin extract. The molecular mechanisms underlying the antioxidant effects of these compounds were investigated using network pharmacology and molecular docking. Antioxidant activity was evaluated through DPPH, ABTS, and FRAP assays, whereas the effects on oxidative stress and inflammation were examined in

Malondialdehyde Suppresses Cerebral Function by Breaking Homeostasis between Excitation and Inhibition in Turtle Trachemys scripta

open access: yes, 2010
The levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) are high in the brain during carbonyl stress, such as following daily activities and sleep deprivation. To examine our hypothesis that MDA is one of the major substances in the brain leading to fatigue, the influences ...

Serum Ischemia-Modified Albumin and Malondialdehyde Levels and Superoxide Dismutase Activity in Patients with Fibromyalgia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Background: The aim of the study was to determine serum ischemia modified albumin and malondialdehyde levels as markers of oxidative stress and serum superoxide dismutase activity as a marker of antioxidant defense and their associations with clinical ...

Cell therapy comparison of dental pulp stem cells, hepatocytes, and their exosomes for liver fibrosis treatment in rats

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
DPSCs, hepatocytes, and exosomes were tested for liver fibrosis therapy. Exosome‐based treatment exhibited superior antioxidative and regenerative effects. Liver enzymes, oxidative stress, and profibrotic markers were significantly reduced. α‐SMA, desmin, and related gene expression were downregulated.

Malondialdehyde Level in the Cord Blood of Newborn Infants

open access: yes, 2013
Objective: In this study, we aim to demonstrate that measurement of the malondialdehyde (MDA) level in the umbilical cord blood of newborn infants born via cesarean section (C/S) and normal vaginal delivery (NVD) is indicative of oxidative stress ...

Elucidation of reaction scheme describing malondialdehyde-acetaldehyde-protein adduct formation

open access: yes, 2001
Malondialdehyde and acetaldehyde react together with proteins and form hybrid protein conjugates designated as MAA adducts, which have been detected in livers of ethanol-fed animals.

Chrysin alleviates pressure overload–induced myocardial remodeling through regulating the PI3K/AKT/NRF2 pathway–mediated oxidative stress response

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
In this study, we primarily simulated pathological myocardial remodeling induced by transverse aortic constriction surgery and found significant cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis, characterized by deteriorated cardiac function. Oxidative stress response is considered as a pivotal pathological process, which contributes to inflammation and apoptosis of ...
