Effect of combined mesenchymal stem cell and derived exosomes in control of STZ induced diabetic hepatopathy in Wistar rat model [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Medical Journal - Giza
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic widespread metabolic disorder, involving a high blood glucose level which causes overtime multiple serious complications.

Effect of Amlodipine on Malondialdehyde (MDA) in Hypertensive Patients

open access: yesKushtia Medical College Journal
Background: Hypertension (HTN) is an important public health problem due to its complications and is associated with oxidative stress. This study was designed to compare the level of Malondialdehyde (MDA) among the normal individuals, newly diagnosed hypertensive patients and hypertensive patients receiving Calcium channel blocker (amlodipine ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Study of level of malondialdehyde and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) in human lens epithelial cells of diabetic and senile cataract patients

open access: yesAdvances in Medical, Pharmaceutical and Dental Research, 2023
Background: Oxidative stress is a condition where the balance between the production and elimination of reactive oxygen species (ROS) is disturbed. ROS can cause damage to various biomolecules, including DNA.

Chronobiology of Cancer: How Aging Fuels Oncogenesis at the Molecular Level

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract illustrates the key biological pathways linking aging with cancer development and progression. In the upper left, cumulative exposure to ultraviolet radiation, toxins, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) causes DNA damage and genomic instability, whereas age‐related decline in repair mechanisms, such as ATM/ATR, BER, and NER ...

Increased Blood Concentrations of Malondialdehyde in Plasmodium Infection: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

open access: yesAntioxidants, 2023
Several studies have evaluated the relationship between malondialdehyde (MDA) concentrations and Plasmodium infections; however, the findings remain inconclusive.

Effect of Losartan on Malondialdehyde (MDA) in Hypertensive Patients

open access: yesTAJ: Journal of Teachers Association
Background: Hypertension (HTN) is an important public health problem due to its complications. HTN is associated with oxidative stress. This study was designed to compare the level of MDA among the normal individuals, newly diagnosed hypertensive patients and hypertensive patients on treatments.

Mitochondrial Dysfunction Unravels the Potential Molecular Link Between Night Shift Work‐Related Circadian Disruption and Elevated Blood Pressure in Human and Mouse Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This diagram illustrates that night shift work disrupts circadian clock genes (like CLOCK, BMAL1) in both humans and mice. This disruption leads to mitochondrial dysfunction (imbalanced fusion/fission proteins) and increased oxidative stress, which is identified as the primary mechanism ultimately causing elevated blood pressure.

Determination of oxidative stress level and some antioxidant activities in refractory epilepsy patients

open access: yesScientific Reports
The aim of this study was to determine the levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), reduced glutathione (GSH) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in patients with refractory epilepsy.

PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK ETANOL KUBIS UNGU (Brassica Oleracea Var. Capitata L.) MENYEBABKAN KADAR MALONDIALDEHID MENJADI RENDAH DAN KADAR SUPEROKSIDA DISMUTASE MENJADI TINGGI PADA TIKUS GALUR WISTAR JANTAN (Rattus Norvegicus) YANG DIBERI LATIHAN FISIK MAKSIMAL

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah Medicamento, 2020
Aktivitas fisik maksimal memicu terjadinya peningkatkan produksi peroksidasi lipid yang ditandai dengan terbentuknya malondialdehyde (MDA) dan dapat menurunkan aktivitas enzim superoksida dismutase (SOD).
