Maneuvering Target Track Prediction Model

open access: yesInternational Journal on Cybernetics & Informatics, 2015
The issues about maneuvering target track prediction were discussed in this paper. Firstly, using Kalman filter which based on current statistical model describes the state of maneuvering target motion, thereby analyzing time range of the target maneuvering occurred. Then, predict the target trajectory in real time by the improved gray prediction model.

Lidar‐Based Object Tracking of Traffic Participants with Sensor Nodes in Existing Urban Infrastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This paper presents a lidar‐based sensor node design and a rule‐based state observer for edge‐based traffic participant tracking. Unlike other state‐of‐the‐art methods, this state observer enables real‐time, CPU‐only edge processing without relying on machine learning approaches.

A Cubature-Principle-Assisted IMM-Adaptive UKF Algorithm for Maneuvering Target Tracking Caused by Sensor Faults

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2017
Aimed at solving the problem of decreased filtering precision while maneuvering target tracking caused by non-Gaussian distribution and sensor faults, we developed an efficient interacting multiple model-unscented Kalman filter (IMM-UKF) algorithm.

Pre‐Curved Everting Robots With Embedded Steering Intelligence Fabricated by CO2 Laser Welding

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Design and experimental demonstration of a laser welded growing robot for anatomically guided navigation. The robot follows an aortic arch phantom entering the branchiocephalic branch through steering by design. The figure shows the physical phantom setup, CAD defined weld geometry and full robot eversion.

Tracking a Maneuvering Target using AUV

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering and Advanced Technology, 2019
In this paper effort is made to track a maneuvering target using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) with range, bearing and elevation measurements. Extended Kalman filter is preferred to processmeasurements tampered with noise. Algorithm to detect the maneuver of target is developed in this paper.

Cteno‐Bot: An Untethered Metachronally Swimming Robot With Magnetoactive Propulsors

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
We present Cteno‐bot, an untethered ctenophore‐inspired robot which swims using metachronally coordinated appendages. A single mechanism controls up to 216 magnetoactive propulsors via a dynamically varying magnetic field. We show that the swimming speed of the robot can be increased without a corresponding increase in power requirement, simply by ...
