Extraction of valuable compounds from mangosteen pericarps by hydrothermal assisted sonication
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2015Valuable compounds, such as xanthone and phenolic compounds, from mangosteen pericarps was extracted by hydrothermal treatment at temperatures of 120-160 °C and pressures of 5 MPa using batch and semi-batch extractor. This method is a simple and environmentally friendly extraction method requiring no chemicals other than water.
