Test Strategies for Multi-Voltage Designs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Reducing the power consumption of digital designs through the use of more than one Vdd value (Multi-Voltage) is known and well practiced. Some manufacturing defects have Vdd-dependency, which implies defects can become active only at certain power supply

Investigation of Oxygen‐Free Wetting Behavior of Aluminum on Copper via Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The wettability of aluminum droplets (Al) on different copper substrates (Cu), where liquid Al spreads on solid Cu surfaces to form a liquid–solid interface, is studied numerically and experimentally. The experimental and numerical results show good agreement in the fast‐spreading regime.

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

Managing and Analyzing Manufacturing Defects – A Case of Refrigerator Liner Manufacturing [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Current Engineering and Technology, 2010
Defects obtained during the various phases of manufacturing a product, play a critical role from developing to shaping it to the final one. It may so happen that the list of defects surfacing may be extremely large. In such a case, it is difficult for the organization to address each of these defects as this involve extra resources (man, material ...
