Maresin-1 resolution with RORα and LGR6
Progress in Lipid Research, 2020Maresin-1, a pro-resolving lipid mediator, is drawing a great deal of attention in receptor pharmacology, largely because two distinct types of receptor molecules have been reported as the targets of maresin-1. One is retinoic acid-related orphan receptor α (RORα) and the other is leucine-rich repeat domain-containing G protein-coupled receptor 6 (LGR6)

Stereoselective synthesis of maresin 1
Tetrahedron Letters, 2015Abstract Maresin 1 is a potent anti-inflammatory and pro-resolving lipid mediator derived from docosahexaenoic acid. The total synthesis of maresin 1 is achieved in 10 steps and in 7% overall yield. The Evans–Nagao aldol reaction between (2E,4E)-5-bromopenta-2,4-dienal and different chiral auxiliaries is investigated.

Synthesis of maresin 1 and (7S)-isomer
Tetrahedron Letters, 2014Maresin 1 (with the 7R carbon) and (7S)-maresin 1 were synthesized stereoselectively. The conjugated triene system was constructed by Pd-catalyzed coupling of the trans cis-dienylborane (the C10–C22 part) with the trans vinyl iodide corresponding to the C1–C9 part.

Association of Low Serum Maresin-1 Levels with Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Cirrhotic Liver [PDF]
Maresin-1 (MaR1) is a macrophage-derived antiinflammatory lipid mediator that negatively regulates oxidative and proinflammatory cytokines and also restores integrity in various tissues after inflammation. Non-resolving inflammation is known to have an important role in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Relationship between pancreatic cancer and Maresin 1
Journal of Current Hematology & Oncology Research, 2023Aims: Pancreatic cancer is the 4th most common cause of death from cancer. In addition, pancreatic cancer is the most common primary malignant tumor of the pancreas. There are many risk factors for pancreatic cancer, including age, certain genetic syndromes, smoking, diabetes, alcohol abuse and obesity.

Maresin-1 induces cardiomyocyte hypertrophy through IGF-1 paracrine pathway
American Journal of Physiology-Cell Physiology, 2021The resolution of inflammation is closely linked with tissue repair. Recent studies have revealed that macrophages suppress inflammatory reactions by producing lipid mediators, called specialized proresolving mediators (SPMs); however, the biological significance of SPMs in tissue repair remains to be fully elucidated in the heart.

Serum Maresin 1 levels in idiopathic acute anterior uveitis patients
Journal Français d'Ophtalmologie, 2022The purpose of the present study is to assess the levels of Maresin 1 (MaR1) in patients with idiopathic acute anterior uveitis (IAAU) and to compare the MaR1 results with healthy controls. This study includes 24 patients with idiopathic AAU and 24 healty controls (C). The serum MaR1 levels were analyzed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA).

Identification of Metabolites of Maresin 1 in Human Neutrophils
The FASEB Journal, 2017The resolution of inflammation, once considered to be rather passive, is now understood to be a complex, regulated process. One of the components in this process is the action of pro‐resolving lipid mediators, including lipoxins, resolvins, protectins and maresins.

Maresin 1 Maintains the Permeability of Lung Epithelial Cells In Vitro and In Vivo
Inflammation, 2016Previous reports showed that Maresin 1 (MaR1) possessed organ protection effects and could attenuate acute lung injury. Here, we aim to figure out whether MaR1 can maintain the permeability of lung epithelial cells by regulating the expression of tight junction protein during lung injury.
