International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2005, Issue 18, Page 3005-3013, 2005., 2005 We determine the fine spectrum of the generalized difference operator B(r, s) defined by a band matrix over the sequence spaces c0 and c, and derive a Mercerian theorem. This generalizes our earlier work (2004) for the difference operator Δ, and includes as other special cases the right shift and the Zweier matrices.

Cubic B‐Spline Collocation Method for One‐Dimensional Heat and Advection‐Diffusion Equations
Journal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012 Numerical solutions of one‐dimensional heat and advection‐diffusion equations are obtained by collocation method based on cubic B‐spline. Usual finite difference scheme is used for time and space integrations. Cubic B‐spline is applied as interpolation function. The stability analysis of the scheme is examined by the Von Neumann approach.
