Modeling Recombination in Solar Cells [PDF]
Solar cells are a competitive alternative to nonrenewable energy sources such as fossil fuels. However, the efficiency of these devices is limited by photogenerated carrier recombination.

Cell boundary confinement sets the size and position of the E. coli chromosome [PDF]
Although the spatiotemporal structure of the genome is crucial to its biological function, many basic questions remain unanswered on the morphology and segregation of chromosomes.

TERRITORIALIZING POWER: The Politics of Presidential Projects in Antananarivo, Madagascar
Abstract Large‐scale infrastructure projects have become a defining feature of African urbanism. The study of the surge in infrastructure investments has largely been conducted against the backdrop of a purported ‘neoliberal global modernity’ in which cities compete to attract international investments.

The q-analogue of the wild fundamental group and the inverse problem of the Galois theory of q-difference equations [PDF]
In previous papers, we defined $q$-analogues of alien derivations for linear analytic $q$-difference equations with integral slopes and proved a density theorem (in the Galois group) and a freeness theorem.

ABSTRACT This article uses the phenomenon of parcel sending as a lens onto Moldovan transnationalism, unravelling how transnationalism is done, experienced and remembered from different subject positions. Through an ethnographic approach that emphasises a long‐term and relational perspective on migration, this article explores the role of parcel ...

Proteomic analysis of human frontal and temporal cortex using iTRAQ-based 2D LC-MS/MS
Background The human brain is the most complex organ in the body, and it is important to have a better understanding of how the protein composition in the brain regions contributes to the pathogenesis of associated neurological disorders. Methods In this

Cells transduce the rigidity of the environment into biochemical cues through mechanotransductive cascades that modulate cell behavior. Here, a novel role for the boron transporter NaBC1 is identified as a mechanotransducer involved in regulating cell behavior via specific crosstalk with fibronectin‐binding integrins.

MATP program u Posebnom programu

MatP-mediated positioning of chromosome terminus regions in $V.\ cholerae$
$V.\ cholerae$ is a curved rod-shaped bacterium with a single polar flagellum. Its genome is distributed on two circular chromosomes, ChrI and ChrII. Each carries a single origin of replication, $oriI$ and $oriII$, withreplication terminating in a diametrically opposite zone, $terI$ and $terII$. ChrII is derived from a megaplasmid.
