RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

Homologous expression and purification of human HAX‐1 for structural studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol provides detailed instructions for cloning, expressing, and purifying large quantities of the intrinsically disordered human HAX‐1 protein, N‐terminally fused to a cleavable superfolder GFP, from mammalian cells. HAX‐1 is predicted to undergo posttranslational modifications and to interact with membranes, various cellular ...

Matrix factorizations over elementary divisor domains

open access: yes, 2018
We study the homotopy category $\mathrm{hmf}(R,W)$ of matrix factorizations of non-zero elements $W\in R^\times$, where $R$ is an elementary divisor domain. When $R$ has prime elements and $W$ factors into a square-free element $W_0$ and a finite product of primes of multiplicity greater than one and which do not divide $W_0$, we show that $\mathrm{hmf}

The next step in the strategy–as–practice evolution: A comparative typology matrix

open access: yesActa Commercii, 2016
Orientation: In 2009, Strategy-as-Practice (S-as-P) research, as a subfield of strategy research, was grouped into nine different domains, and researchers were advised to frame their research within these domains.
