Parent Lindbladians for matrix product density operators

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Understanding quantum phases of matter is a fundamental goal in physics. For pure states, the representatives of phases are the ground states of locally interacting Hamiltonians, which are also renormalization fixed points (RFPs).

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

On the numerical ranges of matrix products

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 2010
Let \(M_n\) denote the space of complex \(n\times n\) matrices, and let~\(A,B,C\in M_n\). The \(C\)-numerical range of~\(A\) is defined by \(W_C(A)=\{\mathrm{tr}\,(CU^*AU):\,U\in M_n\, \mathrm{is\,unitary}\}\). The authors study the equation (1)~\(W_C(AB)=W_C(BA)\). First, they prove this if \(A\) and \(B\) are symmetric and \(C\) is normal.

Encoding a Many-body Potential Energy Surface into a Grid-Based Matrix Product Operator

open access: yes
An efficient algorithm for compressing a given many-body potential energy surface (PES) of molecular systems into a grid-based matrix product operator (MPO) is proposed. The PES is once represented by a full-dimensional or truncated many-body expansion

On systolic arrays for complex matrix problems

open access: yes, 1989
We consider systolic arrays for matrix computations involving complex elements, and show that in certain circumstances the complex calculations can be decomposed into a number of real matrix sub-problems which can be used to good effect in reducing ...

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Matrix-product codes over Fq

open access: yes, 2001
Codes C-1,...,C-M of length it over F-q and an M x N matrix A over F-q define a matrix-product code C = [C-1 (...) C-M] (.) A consisting of all matrix products [c(1) (...) c(M)] (.) A.

Transfer matrices and excitations with matrix product states

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2015
We use the formalism of tensor network states to investigate the relation between static correlation functions in the ground state of local quantum many-body Hamiltonians and the dispersion relations of the corresponding low-energy excitations.
