Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Maximum temperature for an Ideal Gas of $\hat U(1)$ Kac-Moody Fermions

open access: yes, 1995
A lagrangian for gauge fields coupled to fermions with the Kac-Moody group as its gauge group yields, for the pure fermions sector, an ideal gas of Kac-Moody fermions.

January Mean Daily Maximum Temperatures

open access: yes, 2010
The map shows the mean daily maximum temperatures for January. Weak or no sunshine means there is minimal diurnal variation between the maximum and minimum temperatures in January. The far north remains in an icy grip, with maximum temperatures around -30ºC or colder across parts of Nunavut.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Tree-ring stable carbon isotope-based June–September maximum temperature reconstruction since AD 1788, north-west Thailand

open access: yesTellus: Series B, Chemical and Physical Meteorology, 2018
The first study of tree-ring stable carbon isotopes in Thailand has demonstrated that stable carbon isotope in northwestern Thailand represents a promising proxy for the temperature reconstruction of core-monsoon periods.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Future overheating risk in prisons in England and Wales using the UK climate projections

open access: yesFrontiers in Climate
High temperatures, leading to overheating, impact the welfare of prisoners, staff and visitors in prisons in England and Wales. Quantifying current and future overheating risk can inform adaptation decision making and prioritisation of investment.

Contemporary Warming and Daily Values of Temperature (on the Example of Warsaw)

open access: yesMiscellanea Geographica: Regional Studies on Development, 2004
This paper aims at presenting changes in everyday air temperature values, triggered by the contemporary warming process. The analysis has been based on the mean, maximum, and minimum daily temperature values measured in Warsaw between 1951 – 2003.

Effect of strain on the transport properties of the manganite systems

open access: yes, 2001
The effect of strain on the resistivity and thermopower of ferromagnetic manganites has been examined based on the model that incorporates the electron-lattice interaction through the Jahn-Teller effect and an effective hopping determined by nearest ...
