Efficient Marek's disease virus (MDV) and herpesvirus of turkey infection of the QM7 cell line that does not contain latent MDV genome

Avian Pathology, 2014
Marek's disease virus (MDV; also known as Gallid herpesvirus 2, MDV-1) causes oncogenic disease in chickens producing clinical signs that include lymphomas, visceral tumours, nerve lesions, and immunosuppression. MDV vaccines are widely used and mostly produced using primary cells: chicken embryo fibroblast cells, duck embryo fibroblast cells, chicken ...

Coinfection of Specific-Pathogen-Free Chickens with Marek's Disease Virus (MDV) and Chicken Infectious Anemia Virus: Effect of MDV Pathotype

Avian Diseases, 2001
Both Marek's disease virus (MDV) and chicken infectious anemia virus (CIAV) infections are prevalent in chickens throughout the world. In the past decade, MDV strains with increased virulence (very virulent plus MDV pathotype [vv+MDV]) have been isolated.

Meq: An MDV-Specific bZIP Transactivator with Transforming Properties

2001
The principal cause of chicken T-lymphomas and their accompanying demyelinating disease is infection with Marek’s disease virus (MDV) (Calnek et al. 1997), a herpesvirus. Mareks disease can be prevented by vaccination with an antigenically related nonpathogenic herpesvirus, HVT (turkey herpesvirus). MDV is among the most potent oncogenic herpesviruses,

Expression of Marek's disease virus (MDV) serotype 2 gene which has partial homology with MDV serotype 1 pp38 gene

Virus Research, 1995
We constructed the recombinant baculovirus expressing the gene of non-pathogenic Marek's disease virus (MDV) serotype 2 (MDV2) which encodes a polypeptide with partial homology to MDV serotype 1 (MDV1) pp38, an antigen associated with transformed cells.

MDV - An intelligent system for multidisciplinary visualization

32nd Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit, 1994
One of the grand challenges in the Computational Aerosciences Project (CAS) of the High Performance Computing and Communications P r e gram (HPCCP) involves performing multidisciplinary simulations in which two or more phenomena, such as fluid dynamics and structural dynamics, are strongly coupled.

Isolation of a Marek's disease virus (MDV) recombinant containing the lacZ gene of Escherichia coli stably inserted within the MDV US2 gene

Journal of Virology, 1991
We have isolated a stable, recombinant Marek's disease virus (MDV) containing the lacZ gene of Escherichia coli inserted into the unique short region of the genome. The nucleotide sequence of the insertion site indicates that it lies within a sequence homologous to the US2 gene of herpes simplex virus. Stable insertion of the lacZ gene into the MDV US2

Antigen a gene of Marek's disease virus (MDV) detects two mRNA species (3.7 and 2.1 kb) in MDV- and HVT-infected cells

Virus Genes, 1988
The gene of glycoprotein A of Marek's disease virus (MDV) detected to mRNA species (3.7 and 2.1 kb) by Northern blot hybridization. These two mRNA species were also detected in RNA extracted from herpesvirus of turkeys (HVT)-infected chick embryo fibroblasts (CEF) and from the MSB-1 cell line.

Datenbankbasierte Materialdatenverwaltung MDV

1994

Metabolite tunes MDV pathway to maintain mitochondrial fitness

Molecular Cell
In this issue of Molecular Cell, Tang et al.1 demonstrate that the ketone body β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) promotes the biogenesis of mitochondrial-derived vesicles (MDVs) via lysine β-hydroxybutyrylation (Kbhb) on SNX9, revealing a way to fine-tune the mitochondrial quality control pathway with metabolites.

A new method to improve MDV in bistatic SBR

2006 CIE International Conference on Radar, 2006
This paper discusses the minimum detectable velocity (MDV) performance of different cone angles for bistatic space based radar (SBR) in a single-orbit system, and discovers a unique phenomenon in bistatic SBR that MDV is highly sensitive to cone angles. The reason is presented and a new combined bistatic SBR mode is developed as well.
