We constructed the recombinant baculovirus expressing the gene of non-pathogenic Marek's disease virus (MDV) serotype 2 (MDV2) which encodes a polypeptide with partial homology to MDV serotype 1 (MDV1) pp38, an antigen associated with transformed cells.

Metabolite tunes MDV pathway to maintain mitochondrial fitness
Molecular CellIn this issue of Molecular Cell, Tang et al.1 demonstrate that the ketone body β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) promotes the biogenesis of mitochondrial-derived vesicles (MDVs) via lysine β-hydroxybutyrylation (Kbhb) on SNX9, revealing a way to fine-tune the mitochondrial quality control pathway with metabolites.

We have isolated a stable, recombinant Marek's disease virus (MDV) containing the lacZ gene of Escherichia coli inserted into the unique short region of the genome. The nucleotide sequence of the insertion site indicates that it lies within a sequence homologous to the US2 gene of herpes simplex virus. Stable insertion of the lacZ gene into the MDV US2

An antisense strategy has been used to identify genes important for the maintenance of transformation of MDCC-MSB1 (MSB1) Marek's disease virus-transformed lymphoblastoid cells. Oligodeoxynucleotides antisense to the predicted translation initiation regions of ICP4 and pp38 mRNAs inhibited proliferation of MSB1 cells but not MDCC-CU91 (CU91 ...

A new method to improve MDV in bistatic SBR
2006 CIE International Conference on Radar, 2006This paper discusses the minimum detectable velocity (MDV) performance of different cone angles for bistatic space based radar (SBR) in a single-orbit system, and discovers a unique phenomenon in bistatic SBR that MDV is highly sensitive to cone angles. The reason is presented and a new combined bistatic SBR mode is developed as well.
