Comparative Oligo‐FISH Mapping Illuminates Chromosomal Evolution Among Rutaceae Species Diverged Over 50 Million Years

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Oligonucleotide‐based fluorescence in situ hybridization probes were developed in the model citrus species Citrus maxima. These probes were applied to comparative karyotyping across 14 species in the Rutaceae family. This analysis revealed chromosomal evolution in lineages that diverged from Citrus nearly 52 million years ago.

Fusion Scheme for fusing images with diverse focuses using index of fuzziness as a focus measure

open access: yes, 2012
Multi-focus image fusion combines relevant information from several images into a single image to provide maximum information content from the source images with different focal settings. These images are obtained from the sensors which cannot be able to

A comparison of the performance of entropy measures for interval- valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets

open access: yes, 2021
Entropy measure is a significant tool to define unclear information. But, entropy measures for interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs) cannot be easily understood intuitively.

Bench‐to‐Bedside Translation of Self‐Healing Colloidal Hydrogels as Next Generation Design of Flowable Hemostatic Matrix: From Preclinical Evaluation to Human Clinical Trials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Self‐healing materials represent a paradigm shift in designing functional biomedical devices for drug delivery, tissue regeneration, and 3D bioprinting. However, their clinical translation remains limited by challenges such as insufficient mechanical strength, potential cytotoxicity from chemical modifications, and complex activation ...

DNA Replication Errors Drive Genome‐Wide Small Inverted Triplication Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study provides insight into the dynamic equilibrium mechanism of a novel structural variant, small inverted triplication (SIT), which is generated by misalignment of the 3’ flap generated under DNA replication stress with palindromic sequence. Alternatively, the end sequence may fold back on itself to form an inverted fragment.

Fuzzy sets: motivations and first concepts

open access: yesScience & Philosophy, 2015
Starting from the Russel’s studies on the limits of the empiricism, some considerations about the concept of vagueness, are recalled in order to stress the motivations and the development of a foundational context for the fuzzy sets.

CHOQUET AGGREGATION BASED DECISION MAKING UNDER Z-INFORMATION [PDF]

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Soft Computing, 2014
The concept of decision making under uncertainty is usually associated with information that may be incomplete, not reliable or imprecise, so there are several types of uncertainty.

Mathematical aspects of the theory of the measures of fuzziness

open access: yes, 1996
After recalling concept of fuzziness measure, we define some fuzziness measures though Sugeno's and Choquet's integral. In particular, for the so-called "homogeneous" fuzziness measures we prove two representation theorems by means of the above ...

A simple model to include fuzziness in the seismic fragility curve and relevant effect compared with randomness

open access: yes, 2011
Damage has to be quantified in civil structures to assess their seismic performance and risk and loss on a regional scale. Fragility curves have proved to be suitable for coping with randomness inherent in such an issue. Recently, the cognitive source of

Transferable Deep Reinforcement Learning With Edge‐Contour‐Depth Fusion for Autonomous Wireless Capsule Endoscopy Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an anatomical landmark‐guided DRL framework for autonomous wireless capsule endoscopy navigation. Using a lightweight edge‐contour‐depth fusion module, it achieves over 97% coverage across diverse gastric anatomies. To ensure reliability, a two‐stage sim‐to‐real pipeline with an adaptive dynamic programming controller mitigates ...
