Predicting Single‐Cell Perturbation Responses Across Biological Contexts With a Deep Generative Model Integrating Optimal Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell perturbation responses are predicted across held‐out biological contexts using scPILOT, a query‐conditioned two‐stage latent response‐transfer framework. A shared latent representation supports cell‐level response estimation by latent optimal transport, followed by Leiden‐localized query‐specific transfer and adaptive weighting.

On FUZZINESS vol 1

open access: yes, 2013
The notion of Fuzziness stands as one of the really new concepts that have recently enriched the world of Science. Science grows not only through technical and formal advances on one side and useful applications on the other side, but also as ...

A Review of Cluster Validation with an Example of Type-2 Fuzzy Application in R

open access: yes, 2013
Interval valued type-2 fuzziness can be represented by means of membership functions obtained with upper and lower values of the level of fuzziness. These upper and lower values for the level of fuzziness in FCM algorithm were obtained in our previous ...

Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omic Mapping Reveals Liver‐Muscle Metabolic Crosstalk in Cancer Cachexia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The interactive CCAtlas platform delineates cross‐species, spatiotemporal, and sex‐specific molecular dynamics and metabolic rewiring across organs during cancer cachexia. Hepatic Gamt downregulation curtails hepatic creatine synthesis to trigger systemic creatine insufficiency and consequent skeletal muscle atrophy in LLC tumour‐bearing mice ...

Stability analysis of jointed open-pit mine slopes based on GABP-optimized fuzzy measure method

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua
At present, commonly used open-pit mine slope stability analysis methods, such as the limit equilibrium method and the finite-element strength reduction method, rely on the safety factor as the sole criterion, which presents certain limitations.

Entropy assessment for type-2 fuzziness

open access: yes, 2004
One of the sources of uncertainty, which perhaps is identified as parameter uncertainty, is the level of fuzziness in fuzzy system modeling. Given the optimum number of clusters and the cluster centers, one can explore Type-2 membership values that ...

Reversing Macrophage Immunometabolic Dysfunction in Prolonged Infections Via a Glutaminolysis‐Fueled Restoration‐Based Hierarchically Selective Therapeutic System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A hierarchically selective immunotherapeutic nanoplatform, mGls@HEV‐MTP, selectively restores macrophage immunocompetence through GLS1‐mediated restoration of glutaminolysis‐fueled anaplerosis. Concurrently, it renders Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) more readily recognizable to the metabolically reprogrammed macrophages, thereby facilitating ...

Species, Characters, and Fuzziness in Taxonomy.

open access: yesPaleoAnthropology, 2012
Recognizing fossil species, and reconstructing their phylogenetic relationships, is dependent in part on our abil-ity to accurately record and analyze continuously distributed data.

Corruption : abuse of fuzziness of human understanding

open access: yes, 2003
Being a source of the richness of human interpretations of the social world, fuzziness of human understanding is, at the same time, vulnerable to abuses which exploit it in practices of corruption, and in so doing tend to corrupt vital processes in human

Force‐Electric Nanotentacles of Tantalum Implant Accelerate Cellular Energy Metabolism/Crosstalk for Immunomodulation‐Vascularized Bone Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic force‐electric nanotentacle‐enabled tantalum (Ta) implant with surface‐nanostructured LiTaO3 (n‐LiTaO3) was first developed via laser nanofabrication combined with Li+‐induced in situ reaction, enabling the transduction of ultrasound into bioelectrical cues.
