Measures equivalent to the Haar measure [PDF]
We call two measures equivalent if each is absolutely continuous with respect to the other (cf. [1]). Let G be a locally compact topological group and let μ be a non-negative Baire measure on G (i.e. μ is denned on all Baire sets, finite on compact sets and positive on open sets). We say that μ is stable if μ (E)=0 implies μ(tE)=0 for each t ∈ G. A. M.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

The applicability of low-cost PM10 sensors for atmospheric air quality monitoring
Described in this work are the results of field tests carried out in the Tricity Agglomeration between 01 April 2018 and 30 June 2018 in order to evaluate the usefulness of low-cost PM10 sensors in atmospheric air quality monitoring.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

The Impact of Partial Measurement Invariance on Testing Moderation for Single and Multi-Level Data
Moderation effect is a commonly used concept in the field of social and behavioral science. Several studies regarding the implication of moderation effects have been done; however, little is known about how partial measurement invariance influences the ...

On Equivalence of Probability Measures
Let $H$ be a real and separable Hilbert space, $\Gamma$ the Borel $\sigma$-field of $H$ sets, and $\mu_1$ and $\mu_2$ two probability measures on $(H, \Gamma)$. Several sufficient conditions for equivalence (mutual absolute continuity) of $\mu_1$ and $\mu_2$ are obtained in this paper.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Psychometric Properties of the Chinese Version of the Neuroticism Subscale of the NEO-PI
Neuroticism is an important concept in psychology, self-report measures of neuroticism are important for both research and clinical practice. The neuroticism subscale of the Neuroticism-Extraversion-Openness Personality Inventory (NEO-PI) is a brief ...

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.
