Analysis of Mechanical Response during Folding of Creased and Uncreased Paperboard [PDF]
Creasing and folding of paperboard are two essential operations to obtain a well-defined shape and strength of a package. Relative Crease Strength, RCS, is specified for process control of creasing and folding and is defined as the ratio between the ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Dynamic Response Analysis of Asphalt Pavement under Pavement-Unevenness Excitation
This paper investigates and analyzes the dynamic response of asphalt pavement under pavement-unevenness excitation based on an orthogonal vector function system and efficient DVP (dual variable and position) method.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Mechanical Response of Hot-Mixed Epoxy Asphalt Concrete Steel Deck Pavement Under Thermal and Load
In recent years, fatigue cracking in orthotropic steel bridge deck pavements has become a significant concern, so the investigation of the mechanical response of the pavement layer has become a central focus in pavement structure design.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Thermal-mechanical response to simple shear extension [PDF]
The mechanism of extension in the continental crust is apparently much more complex than that acting in the oceanic lithosphere. Recently, Wernicke has proposed that a significant fraction of extension in the continental lithosphere may occur by a simple

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Response of Corroded Steel Pipeline Without and with CFRP Reinforcement to Reverse Fault Movement
Corroded steel pipelines are particularly vulnerable to failure due to ground movement, which highlights the need to improve their seismic resistance through reinforcement methods.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
