Zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials are presented as multifunctional platforms linking structure, property, and sensing performance. Surface engineering and heteroatom doping modulate electron‐transfer and luminescent behavior, enabling electrochemical, photoluminescent, and electrochemiluminescent detection. Fundamental design principles, analytical

Ru-Catalyzed, cis-Selective Living Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerization of Various Monomers, Including a Dendronized Macromonomer, and Implications to Enhanced Shear Stability [PDF]
An unsaturated polymer’s cis/trans-olefin content has a significant influence on its properties. For polymers obtained by ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP), the cis/trans-olefin content can be tuned by using specific catalysts.

The two-step mechanochemical synthesis of porphyrins [PDF]
Porphyrin synthesis under solvent-free conditions represents the “greening” of a traditional synthesis that normally requires large amounts of organic solvent, and has hindered the industrial-scale synthesis of this useful class of molecules. We have found that the four-fold acid-catalysed condensation of aldehyde and pyrrole to yield a tetra ...

A wet ball‐milling method is presented to synthesize iron magnetic nanoparticles and evaluate their magnetic hyperthermia performance. Optimized particles (∼270 nm, Ms ∼114 emu/g) achieve ∼50°C heating under clinically safe alternating magnetic fields, while pulsed‐field operation enables controlled temperature regulation (∼30°C).

Comprehensive structural model of the mechanochemical cycle of a mitotic motor highlights molecular adaptations in the kinesin family [PDF]
Kinesins are responsible for a wide variety of microtubule-based, ATP-dependent functions. Their motor domain drives these activities but the molecular adaptations that specify these diverse and essential cellular activities are poorly understood.

Mechanochemical synthesis of novel rutile-type high entropy fluorides for electrocatalysis
Novel high entropy ceramics, high entropy fluorides, are introduced. The microstructure and solid solution state of the material are thoroughly characterized. Additionally, promising catalytic activity for oxygen evolution reaction was observed.

Expeditious, mechanochemical synthesis of BODIPY dyes [PDF]
BODIPY dyes have been synthesized under solvent-free or essentially solvent-free conditions, within about 5 minutes in an open-to-air setup by using a pestle and mortar, with yields that are comparable to those obtained via traditional routes that typically require reaction times of several hours to days.

We developed the enzyme‐responsive peptide SAp‐CD28 to selectively target CD28‐overexpressing T‐ALL cells. Following phosphatase‐mediated activation, SAp‐CD28 undergoes conformational switching and nanooligomerization, resulting in the disruption of CD28 downstream signaling.

Progress on the preparation of nanocrystalline apatites and surface characterization: Overview of fundamental and applied aspects [PDF]
Nanocrystalline calcium phosphate apatites constitute the main inorganic part of hard tissues, and a growing focus is devoted to prepare synthetic analogs, so-called “biomimetic”, able to precisely mimic the morphological and physico-chemical features of
