Lipid drug carriers to which ultra‐small gold nanoparticles were added enabled more efficient radiotherapy of cultured pancreatic cancer tumors. These nanoparticles boosted radiation‐induced damage to tumors by generating more reactive molecules, though higher gold levels are needed for strong benefits.

Tumbling Magnetic Microrobots for Targeted In Vivo Drug Delivery in the GI Tract
We introduce a microrobot design and integrated system for on‐demand targeted drug release in the gastrointestinal tract. The microrobot has an embedded magnet for actuation with external magnetic fields and is visualized in real time using ultrasound. It has two drug release ports sealed with a thermally sensitive wax. Local heating of the wax using a

RNF213 is characterized as a dual‐functional antiviral effector. It directly mediates the degradation of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) while simultaneously activating the MDA5‐mediated innate immune signaling pathway. This coordinated response establishes a powerful host defense system against viral infection. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV)

RETREG1‐Mediated Reticulophagy is Essential for Dendritic Cell Maturation and Function in Sepsis
Reticulophagy regulator 1 (RETREG1) maintains dendritic cell (DC) maturation and function in early sepsis. Mechanistically, activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6) acts as a direct transcription factor regulating RETREG1 expression in response to sepsis‐induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress.

Versatile CRISPR‐Cas Tools for Gene Regulation in Zebrafish via an Enhanced Q Binary System
This study introduces CRISPR‐Q, a transgenic CRISPR‐Cas system leveraging the QFvpr/QUAS binary expression platform in zebrafish. CRISPR‐Q overcomes previous challenges in achieving stable and efficient gene regulation. By enabling precise spatiotemporal control of transcript knockdown (CRISPR‐QKD) and gene activation (CRISPR‐Qa), it provides a ...

Determination of Median Lethal Dose of Carbamate Insecticides Bendiocarb and Carbaryl in Garden Lizard, Calotes versicolor [PDF]
Acute lethality usually determined as LD50 is defined as median dose predicted to kill 50 percent of a given test population. LD50 is a statistical estimate of the number of milligram of toxicant per kilo gram of body weight administered by any of the ...

Reversal of Sodium Arsenite Inhibition of Rat Liver Microsomal Ca2+ Pumping ATPase by Vitamin C [PDF]
Sodium arsenite (NaAsO2), at 10% of its median lethal dose, was administered to rats with and without vitamin C pretreatment. Liver microsomal fraction was isolated and the activity of Ca2+-ATPase was assayed.
