Electroweak Baryogenesis and Dark Matter via a Pseudoscalar vs. Scalar

open access: yes, 2017
We study the electroweak baryogenesis in a fermionic dark matter scenario with a (pseudo)scalar being the mediator in the Higgs portal. It is discussed that the electroweak phase transition turns to be first-order after taking into account the role of ...

Structural insights into lacto‐N‐biose I recognition by a family 32 carbohydrate‐binding module from Bifidobacterium bifidum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Exploring Bosonic Mediator of Interaction at BESIII

open access: yes, 2019
We present a comprehensive investigation on the possibility of the search for new force mediator $X$ boson in $e^+e^-$ collision and $J/\psi$ decay at the BESIII experiment.

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Appropriation of Information, Knowledge Construction and the Role of Mediator

open access: yesRevista Interamericana de Bibliotecología, 2018
Knowledge construction is a complex process in which the widespread use of the term information is not, by itself, sufficient to cover its nuances. This leads to a host of discussions of the importance of appropriation of information, which is a key ...

Dark Matter-Neutrino Interaction in Light of Collider and Neutrino Telescope Data

open access: yes, 2018
We study the DM-neutrino interaction in the framework of simplified model. The phenomenology of such an interaction are derived. We also investigate the bound on DM-neutrino interaction from the LHC and neutrino telescopes. We find that for the case of a
