Improved Virtual Gyroscope Technology Based on the ARMA Model

open access: yesMicromachines, 2018
In view of the large output noise and low precision of the Micro-electro-mechanical Systems (MEMS) gyroscope, the virtual gyroscope technology was used to fuse the data of the MEMS gyroscope to improve its output precision.

Humidity Drift Modeling and Compensation of MEMS Gyroscope Based on IAWTD-CSVM-EEMD Algorithms

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
A novel fusion algorithm is proposed based on Improved Adaptive Wavelet Threshold De-noising (IAWTD), C-means Support Vector Machine (CSVM) and Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD) method to eliminate the humidity drift of MEMS gyroscope. Firstly,

Modal parameter identification of a MEMS gyroscope [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2000 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.00CH36334), 2000
This paper reports the experimental system identification of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory microelectromechanical (MEMS) vibrational rate gyroscope. A high-order two-input/two-output transfer function for the microgyroscope is identified and mapped to a three-mode rigid plate model that reveals the orientation of important vibrational modes.

Adaptive interval type-2 fuzzy recurrent RBFNN control design using ellipsoidal membership functions with application to MEMS gyroscope.

open access: yesISA transactions, 2021
In this article, a hybrid control approach is provided to control the micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) triaxial gyroscope as a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system. Control design includes a fast non-singular terminal sliding mode control (FNTSMC)

Thermoelastic damping in MEMS gyroscopes at high frequencies

open access: yesMicrosystems & Nanoengineering, 2023
AbstractMicroelectromechanical systems (MEMS) gyroscopes are widely used, e.g., in modern automotive and consumer applications, and require signal stability and accuracy in rather harsh environmental conditions. In many use cases, device reliability must be guaranteed under large external loads at high frequencies. The sensitivity of the sensor to such
