Silver‑binding peptides are first identified through phage‐display screening, and then engineered into multifunctional and responsive peptides or proteins. A Multistate Adaptive System of Topologically Distinct Chiral Assemblies
This article presents a non‐covalent multistate system with seven distinct assembly products across solid and liquid states, generated from a single supramolecular synthon. Thermodynamic pathways between these states are switchable with simple external triggers.

Genomic and Cis‐Regulatory Basis of a Plastic C3‐C4 Photosynthesis in Eleocharis Baldwinii
The sedge Eleocharis baldwinii remarkably switches between C3‐like and C4‐like photosynthesis in response to environmental conditions. Combining gap‐free genome assembly with single‐cell multi‐omics, this study uncovers how subgenome dominance and cell‐specific cis‐regulation enable C4 photosynthesis.

Human Schlafen 14 Cleavage of Short Double‐Stranded RNAs Underpins its Antiviral Activity
SLFN14 is associated with human diseases. SLFN14 is found to cleave RNAs containing short duplexes. The cryo‐EM structures of SLFN14 and SLFN14‐hairpin RNA complex reveal that SLFN14 assembles into a ring‐like dimer; two RNase domains form an RNA‐binding groove accommodating a hairpin RNA.
