Regeneration in the mesencephalon of Amblystoma
In April of the present year the writer published a report of an experimental study of regeneration in the forebrain of Amblystoma. The results showed that the removal of the cerebral hemisphere together with the end-organ normally connected with it (the nasal placode), was not followed by a regeneration of nervous tissue.

Pre‐oviposition development of the brown anole (Anolis sagrei)
Abstract Background The brown anole, Anolis sagrei, has emerged as a representative squamate species for developmental studies during the past decades. Novel functional tools have been established to manipulate embryogenesis through genome editing or the introduction of small molecule inhibitors, and their effective use requires a thorough ...

A comprehensive embryonic staging series of the turtle Trachemys scripta
Abstract Background Turtles hold a unique place in vertebrate evolutionary history, making them critical assets in embryology research. Yet, they remain understudied as potential model organisms in the field. Here, to support experimental manipulations with turtle embryos, we have created a complete normal table of development for comprehensive ...

Abstract Background Previous experiments inducing leakage of embryonic cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) suggest the necessity of intraventricular CSF pressure (PCSF) for brain morphogenesis. Nevertheless, how embryonic PCSF occurs is unclear, especially in utero. Results Using a Landis water manometer, we measured PCSF in fetal mice isolated from the amniotic
