Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with early breast cancer response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study evaluated EMT and TIL shifts, with immunofluorescence and RNA sequencing, at diagnosis and in residual tumors as potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.

Generation of Human Epidermis-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cell-like Pluripotent Cells and their reprogramming in mouse chimeras [PDF]
Stem cells can be derived from the embryo (embryonic stem cells, ESCs), from adult tissues (adult stem cells, ASCs), and by induction of fibroblasts (induced pluripotent stem cells, iPSs).

Design of decorated self-assembling peptide hydrogels as architecture for mesenchymal stem cells [PDF]
Hydrogels from self-assembling ionic complementary peptides have been receiving a lot of interest from the scientific community as mimetic of the extracellular matrix that can offer three-dimensional supports for cell growth or can become vehicles for ...

Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Cardiology [PDF]
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) accounts for more deaths globally than any other single disease. There are on average 1.5 million episodes of myocardial infarction (heart attack) each year in the United States alone with roughly one-third resulting in death.

Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

Mesenchymal stem cells as carrier cells to enable effective intratumoral delivery of oncolytic virus for oncolytic virotherapy: a systematic review [PDF]
Oncolytic viruses, which may be naturally occurring or genetically engineered, are a type of virus that infects and destroy cancer cells preferentially. Owing to their selectivity, they outperform conventional chemotherapy and radiotherapy, which both have a tendency to impact non-target cells and cause unwanted adverse side effects.

Homing of Mesenchymal Stem Cells [PDF]
SUMMARY: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are primarily fibroblast-like cells. Yet, once studied under conditions of shear stress when flowing along endothelial cells in vitro or in blood vessels, as well as in classic migration assays such as chemotaxis assays, MSCs have recently been found to function similarly to leukocytes in many ways.
