Gasdermin‐Mediated Pyroptosis: Novel Strategies Against Colorectal Cancer
Pyroptosis is a double‐edged sword in colorectal cancer (CRC): chronic low‐grade pyroptosis promotes tumor progression, whereas acute induction of pyroptosis in cancer cells triggers antitumor immunity and enhances therapeutic response. Targeting gasdermin‐mediated pyroptosis represents a promising strategy for CRC treatment.

ABSTRACT Background To report the 1‐year clinical outcomes of decellularised human corneal stromal lamina implantation, with or without autologous adipose‐derived adult stem cells (ADASCs), for advanced keratoconus in a European cohort. Methods In this prospective, randomised Phase I/IIa trial, 10 eyes of 10 patients were allocated to decellularised ...

Under physiological conditions, NAC activates the PI3K‐AKT‐COL6A1 axis to sustain redox balance and enhance osteogenesis. COL6A1 deficiency, however, compromises this axis, inducing oxidative stress and impairing NAC's osteogenic efficacy. ABSTRACT Alveolar bone injury represents a prevalent clinical challenge in dentistry, for which stem cell‐based ...

In this study, OP‐BMSCs were successfully isolated from OVX osteoporotic rats. Mechanistic investigations revealed that the RNA‐binding protein YTHDF3 significantly upregulates Tbx19 expression by enhancing the stability of Tbx19 mRNA. Elevated Tbx19 levels, in turn, activate key osteogenic molecules, effectively promoting the differentiation of OP ...

Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 2003Abstract: Techniques have recently beome available to isolate and grow mesenchymal progenitors and to manipulate their growth under defined in vitro culture conditions. As a result mesenchymal stem cells can be rapidly expanded to numbers that are required for clinical application.

Mesenchymal Stem Cell Transplantation in Liver Diseases
Seminars in Liver Disease, 2022Promising preclinical data suggested that bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSC) can reduce hepatic fibrosis and stimulate liver regeneration. Preclinical studies moreover suggested that the immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory functions of MSCs may reduce hepatic inflammation, improve liver function, and decrease infection incidences ...
