This study identifies platelet‐derived extracellular vesicles as key immunometabolic regulators in COVID‐19. The delivery of tRF‐His‐GTG‐1 to neutrophils activates TLR8mTOR signaling, disrupts lipophagy, and amplifies NET‐mediated inflammation. Importantly, targeting this axis restores neutrophil homeostasis, offering a potential therapeutic strategy ...

ABSTRACT Flaviviruses pose a major threat to global health and can cause severe disease in animals and humans. Among them, tick‐borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) and related members of the tick‐borne encephalitis (TBE) serocomplex are transmitted primarily by ticks and can lead to neurological disease, including encephalitis and death. Despite many years

ABSTRACT Background Exosomes derived from human cells have emerged as promising biological agents for enhancing skin quality through stimulation of collagen remodeling and angiogenesis. While their role in wound healing is well established, their effects on intact, non‐injured skin remain insufficiently investigated.

Generating golden Syrian hamsters with conditional alleles via zygote microinjection of CRISPR/Cas9
We established the first conditional knockout (cKO) model in the golden Syrian hamster by CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated genome editing. Cas9 protein, two sgRNAs, and a donor plasmid carrying loxP‐flanked exon 2 of the ApoF gene were microinjected into one‐cell embryos. The floxed allele was efficiently generated (up to 27%) and transmitted through the germline.

Ultrastructure of proliferative ileitis in hamsters ( Mesocricetus auratus ) [PDF]
The ileum of affected hamsters bore microvilli which were much shorter, less regularly arranged and less densely packed than those from control animals. Organelle derangements such as atrophy of mitochondria, degranulation and dilated cisterna of endoplasmic reticulum, were observed.

Nanoformulated Diacerein Alleviates Hyperlipidemia via Gut Microbiota Modulation In Vivo
A nanoformulation of diacerein (Nano‐DIA) was fabricated with carboxymethyl cellulose, achieving enhanced solubility and rapid dissolution for alternative anti‐hyperlipidemia therapeutics. Mechanistic studies revealed its in vivo lipid‐lowering efficacy is through metabolite‐mediated and microbiota‐dependent manner, highlighting its dual action on host

LEISHMANICIDAL ACTIVITY in vivo OF A MILTEFOSINE DERIVATIVE IN Mesocricetus auratus
Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) is a chronic and systemic disease; if untreated, it can cause death in a large number of cases. The therapy is based on the use of antimonials, which have been used for over 50 years. However, cases of resistance have been reported in some countries.
