LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

True Metabolizable Energy of Corn Fractions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Poultry Research, 1994
Abstract A series of studies was conducted to determine the relative metabolizable energy content of whole corn kernels, broken corn (BC), and foreign material (FM). Samples of yellow corn were obtained from eight different trains and separated into the three fractions which were assayed for proximate composition and nitrogen corrected true ...

Effect of Conditioning Temperature on Pellet Quality, Diet Digestibility, and Broiler Performance

open access: yes, 2019
SUMMARY Pelleting is the most common heat processing method used in the poultry feed industry and the quality of feed processing directly impacts the efficiency of the utilization of feedstuffs by broilers, and consequently, their performance.

Interaction between xylanase and phytase on the digestibility of corn and a corn/soy diet for broiler chickens

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2016
&NA; An experiment was carried out to evaluate the digestibility and metabolizability of corn and a corn/soy‐based diet with the inclusion or not of xylanase and/or phytase in broilers.

Effects of different energy intakes before and after calving on food intake, performance and blood hormones and metabolites in dairy cows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
An experiment with 25 dairy cows was performed to investigate the effects of different energy intakes on food intake, performance and blood hormone and metabolite levels during the last 70 days of pregnancy and the first 125 days after parturition ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Determination of the energetic value of corn, soybean meal and micronized full fat soybean for newly hatched chicks

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Poultry Science, 2004
There are some evidences described in the literature showing reduced energy metabolizability of ingredients for newly hatched chicks. Hence, a metabolism trial was carried out with the objective of determining the metabolizable energy of corn grain ...

Effect of aflatoxin culture on intestinal function and nutrient loss in laying hens.

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2009
The negative effects of aflatoxins (AFLA) on hepatic necrosis and total tract digestibility of energy, N, and amino acids have been well documented. However, the question remains if this is an effect on nutrient metabolizability alone or an effect on the

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.
