Organocatalyzed Fluoride Metathesis [PDF]
A new organocatalyzed fluoride metathesis reaction between fluoroarenes and carbonyl derivatives is reported. The reaction exchanges fluoride (F–) and alternate nucleophiles (OAc–, CO2R–, SR–, Cl–, CN–, NCS–). The approach provides a conceptually novel route to manipulate the fluorine content of organic molecules.

Iodonium Metathesis Reactions [PDF]
AbstractA metathesis reaction occurs when a diaryliodonium triflate is heated with an aryl iodide, resulting in the formation of a new diaryliodonium triflate.

Supported Catalysts Useful in Ring-Closing Metathesis, Cross Metathesis, and Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerization [PDF]
Ruthenium and molybdenum catalysts are widely used in synthesis of both small molecules and macromolecules. While major developments have led to new increasingly active catalysts that have high functional group compatibility and stereoselectivity, catalyst/product separation, catalyst recycling, and/or catalyst residue/product separation remain an ...

Highly active alkyne metathesis catalysts operating under open air condition
Alkyne metathesis catalysts usually suffer from high moisture/air sensitivity, which limit their wide applicability. Here, the authors report efficient alkyne metathesis catalysts that can operate under open-air conditions with a broad functional group ...

Tandem Ring‐Opening–Ring‐Closing Metathesis for Functional Metathesis Catalysts [PDF]
AbstractUse of a tandem ring‐opening–ring‐closing metathesis (RORCM) strategy for the synthesis of functional metathesis catalysts is reported. Ring opening of 7‐substituted norbornenes and subsequent ring‐closing metathesis forming a thermodynamically stable 6‐membered ring lead to a very efficient synthesis of new catalysts from commercially ...

Recent applications of ring-rearrangement metathesis in organic synthesis
Ring-rearrangement metathesis (RRM) involves multiple metathesis processes such as ring-opening metathesis (ROM)/ring-closing metathesis (RCM) in a one-pot operation to generate complex targets.

A Review on Olefin Metathesis Reactions as a Green Method for the Synthesis of Organic Compounds
Olefin metathesis is a metal-mediated C-C bond exchange by which the two fragments within the olefin precursor are redistributed as a result of breaking the double bond to obtain a new product. Currently, most of the synthetic organic compounds, polymers,

Relay cross metathesis reactions of vinylphosphonates
Dimethyl (β-substituted) vinylphosphonates do not readily undergo cross metathesis reactions with Grubbs catalyst and terminal alkenes. However, the corresponding mono- or diallyl vinylphosphonate esters undergo facile cross metathesis reactions.
