Carving Technique - Methodical Perspectives

open access: yesInternational journal of Science Culture and Sport, 2015
The alpine skiing has undergone major changes and adjustments due to both technological innovations of materials and update of theoretical and methodological concepts on all levels of specific training. The purpose: the introduction of technological innovation in the field of materials specific to carving ski causes a review of methodology, aiming at ...

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Tangible and Intangible Knowledge: the Unique Contribution of Archaeological Open-Air Museums

open access: yesEXARC Journal, 2015
Over the years my personal research interests have focussed on the less tangible elements of the past, such as gender issues (Hurcombe 1995, Donald and Hurcombe 2000), perishable material culture (2014), and the sensory worlds of the past (2007a), but ...

Innovative strategies for wastewater treatment: harnessing green technologies for sustainable resource recovery. a review

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science
A major global issue that negatively affects both ecosystems and human populations alike is the inability to supply enough fresh water to fulfill demand. A gap among the supply and demand of water is its defining feature, and it can show itself as either

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
