SUMOylation of MFF is required for stress-induced mitochondrial fission

open access: yes, 2023
Abstract Mitochondrial fission regulates mitochondrial morphology, function, mitophagy and apoptosis. Fission is mediated by the GTPase dynamin related protein-1 (DRP1) and its recruitment to the outer mitochondrial membrane by DRP1 receptors.

The Evolution of Breast Cancer Detection: A Review of Imaging, Machine Learning, and Multimodal Strategies

open access: yesComputational and Systems Oncology, Volume 6, Issue 1, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Breast cancer is still a serious problem in the world arena, where its early and prompt detection is the most important factor in improving patient prognosis and survival. The use of traditional diagnostic techniques, such as imaging (e.g., mammography and ultrasound) and subsequent histopathological examination, is the mainstay, which ...

Mff‐Dependent Mitochondrial Fission Contributes to the Pathogenesis of Cardiac Microvasculature Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury via Induction of mROS‐Mediated Cardiolipin Oxidation and HK2/VDAC1 Disassociation‐Involved mPTP Opening

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2017
Background The cardiac microvascular system ischemia/reperfusion injury following percutaneous coronary intervention is a clinical thorny problem. This study explores the mechanisms by which ischemia/reperfusion injury induces cardiac microcirculation ...

Katalysatoraktivierung als Schlüsselfaktor in Kreuzkupplungen: Raumtemperatur‐Kupplungen schwacher Nukleophile ermöglicht durch [Pd(1‐MeNAP)TFA]2 Präkatalysatoren

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 27, 1 July 2026.

Metal Fume Fever among Galvanized Welders

open access: yesActa Medica Indonesiana, 2016
The metal fume fever (MFF) is an inhalation fever syndrome in welders of galvanized steel, who join and cut metal parts using flame or electric arc and other sources of heat.

APPLICATION OF MFF METHOD IN CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

open access: yes, 2018
This work presents use of MFF (Matrix of function and functionality) method in conceptual design stage. Compared to the morphological matrix, MFF is structured as multidimensional matrix, which according to mathematical model presented in this work, generates a functional structure as multilayer functional structure.

Unlocking Catalyst Activation as a Critical Bottleneck in Cross‐Coupling Reactions: Room‐Temperature Couplings of Weak Nucleophiles Enabled by [Pd(1‐MeNAP)TFA]2 Precatalysts

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 27, 1 July 2026.
In many Pd‐catalyzed cross‐couplings, catalyst performance has been found to be limited by catalyst activation. Methylnaphthyl (MeNAP) palladium trifluoroacetate dimers are presented as easy‐to‐store and easy‐to‐handle precursors, which rapidly activate under reaction conditions, even when only weakly coordinating, non‐reducing nucleophiles are present.

Advances in the Core Role and Mechanisms of Mitochondrial Dysfunction in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.
In Alzheimer's disease, Aβ and Tau trigger mitochondrial dysfunction, driving a pathological cascade that results in cognitive decline. Gut microbiota dysbiosis exacerbates this via the gut–brain axis, making mitochondria a key therapeutic target. ABSTRACT Introduction Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a complex neurodegenerative disorder whose pathogenesis ...
