Characterization of mixed allogeneic chimeras. Immunocompetence, in vitro reactivity, and genetic specificity of tolerance. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Mixed allogeneically reconstituted mice (B10 + B10.D2----B10) that specifically accept B10.D2 tail skin allografts were examined for in vivo and in vitro immunocompetence, patterns of hematopoietic repopulation, and in vitro reactivity.

Genotype-Dependent Difference in 5-HT2C Receptor-Induced Hypolocomotion: Comparison with 5-HT2A Receptor Functional Activity

open access: yesNeural Plasticity, 2015
In the present study behavioral effects of the 5-HT2C serotonin receptor were investigated in different mouse strains. The 5-HT2C receptor agonist MK-212 applied intraperitoneally induced significant dose-dependent reduction of distance traveled in the ...

[Biological characterization of clones of the Y, CL and MR strains of Trypanosoma cruzi in inbred C3H mice].

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 1990
Ten clones of Trypanosoma cruzi isolated from Y, CL and MR strains were studied. The infectivity of culture forms, parasitemia pattern, polymorphism and mortality were studied in C3H inbred mice. Significant intra-group differences among Y and CL clones were found. MR clones showed higher homogeneity. These data indicate that T.

Positive selection determines T cell receptor V beta 14 gene usage by CD8+ T cells. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
We report here a mAb, 14-2, reactive with TCRs that include V beta 14. The frequency of V beta 14+ T cells varies with CD4 and CD8 subset and is controlled by the H-2 genes.
