The inbred 129 substrains have been characterized as poor learners that display hypoplasia of the corpus callosum. However, they are used extensively as a source of embryonic stem (ES) cells for creating mice carrying altered copies of a targeted gene ('knockout mice'). The present research investigated callosal agenesis and behavior in the 129/SvEvTac

Behavioral sensitization to drug stimulant effects in C57BL/6J and DBA/2J inbred mice.
Behavioral Neuroscience, 1994Common features shared by addictive drugs have been difficult to identify. One ubiquitous effect of these drugs is psychomotor stimulation. Further, repeated exposure commonly results in sensitization to drug stimulant effects. This study evaluates sensitization to drugs from several drug classes in C57BL/6J and DBA/2J inbred strain mice.

Age-related changes in the motricity of the inbred mice strains 129/sv and C57BL/6j
Behavioural Brain Research, 2007The development of motor skills was studied at different stages in the life of the mouse, focusing on three key aspects of motor development: early rhythmic motor activities prior to the acquisition of quadruped locomotion, motor skills in young adults, and the effect of aging on motor skills.

Genetic analysis of the mandible morphology in DDD.Cg-$$A^{y}$$/Sgn and C57BL/6J inbred mice
Journal of Genetics, 2019Quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping analysis was performed for the mandible morphology in DDD.Cg-Ay/Sgn and C57BL/6J inbred mice. The size and shape of the mandible was analysed by landmark-based geometric morphometrics as the centroid size and principal components (PCs), respectively.

[The determination of the oxidation phenotype in inbred C57Bl/6 and BALB/c mice].
Biulleten' eksperimental'noi biologii i meditsiny, 1991Antipyrine oxidation was studied in C57BL/6 and BALB/c inbred mice. It was found that C57BL/6 are weak oxidant but BALB/c are strong oxidants of antipyrine. Animals F1 hybrids inherited the high capacity of antipyrine oxidation.
