Evaluation of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics relationships for Salvianolic Acid B micro-porous osmotic pump pellets in angina pectoris rabbit

open access: yesAsian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2014
The work aims to investigate the in vitro release, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD) and PK–PD relationships of Salvianolic Acid B micro-porous osmotic pump pellets (SalB-MPOPs) in angina pectoris New Zealand White (NZW) rabbits, compared with

Testing the Effects of Personality-Related Beliefs on Micro-PK

open access: yesJournal of Anomalous Experience and Cognition
Objective. This preregistered study investigates mind-matter interactions by testing observer effects on quantum random number generator (QRNG) outcomes mediated by implicit intentions. Methods. We evaluated participants' personality traits (PTs), and presented them with goal-related or neutral stimuli based on QRNG outputs. We predicted deviations from

Strategies for Loading and Releasing Peptide Therapeutics in Biodegradable Carriers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A biodegradable carrier‐based peptide delivery system is a powerful treatment platform for diverse diseases, owing to its superior therapeutic efficacy and low toxicity. This review examines the conventional peptide‐loaded carrier fabrication process and its current limitations.

Effects of participant and target system lability upon PK performance using an I Ching task [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Relatively few parapsychological experiments investigating micro-PK effects have been designed to consider psychological or individual differences factors, and those variables that have been considered have been subject to too few replications to give a ...

Can the Psi Data Help Us Make Progress on the Problem of Consciousness? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The inherently subjective nature of consciousness severely limits our ability to make progress on the problem of consciousness. The inability to acquire objective, publicly available data on the phenomenal aspect of consciousness makes evaluating ...

Solvent‐Free Manufacturing of Multifunctional Gas Diffusion Electrode Architectures for Enhanced CO2 Conversion From Low‐Concentration Streams

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A tandem gas diffusion electrode (GDE) leveraging hierarchically engineered microgranules enables efficient CO2 electroreduction under dilute CO2 conditions. A key innovation lies in the solvent‐free precision assembly of metal–organic‐frameworks, carbon nanotubes, and copper nanoparticles.

Small Extracellular Vesicles from Neural Cells: Physiological and Pathological Roles, and Potential in Neurodegenerative Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Neural cell–derived small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are emerging as pivotal mediators in neurodegenerative diseases, exerting both pathogenic and therapeutic functions. This review synthesizes current evidence on how sEVs from distinct neural cell types regulate neurodegeneration, neuroprotection, biomarker discovery, and targeted drug delivery ...

Psi Effects as a Result of Implicit Expectations About Probabilities – Investigating Micro-PK with a Biased Baseline

open access: yesJournal of Scientific Exploration
This pilot study investigated micro-psychokinesis (micro-PK) effects using a masked coin toss game with biased base-rate probabilities. It was assumed that participants’ expectation of fair coin tosses would exhibit a micro-PK effect with empirical mean scores deviating from the base-rates towards a 50% winning probability.

The relationship between local geomagnetic activity, Tibetan Buddhist meditation and psychic awareness: preliminary study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The proposal is that the local environment, as well as the person‟s state of consciousness, affects the ability to consciously use psychic awareness. For the past three decades research in parapsychology has found evidence that psychic awareness may be ...

Measuring ligand concentration where it matters: Assessing the “micro pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics” of adenosine receptor ligands [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
The methods used to determine fundamental pharmacological parameters almost exclusively assume that the concentration of drug in the local environment of the target receptor is equal to the concentration of drug that has been added to the system. It has,
