Proceedings of IEEE 2nd International Workshop on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA '93), 2002
Historical background of the micromachine and its applications are presented, and the future state of microrobots is discussed. Microdevices, such as a microsensor, microactuator, and microprocessor are all important to build an integrated micromachine.

Microorganisms can move in complex media, respond to the environment and self-organize. The field of microrobotics strives to achieve these functions in mobile robotic systems of sub-millimetre size. However, miniaturization of traditional robots and their control systems to the microscale is not a viable approach.

Microrobotics in endodontics: A perspective
International Endodontic JournalAbstractMicroorganisms are the primary aetiological factor of apical periodontitis. The goal of endodontic treatment is to prevent and eliminate the infection by removing the microorganisms. However, microbial biofilms and the complex root canal anatomy impair the disinfection process.

Thanks to millions of years of evolution, living beings have developed complex mechanisms for sensing, actuation, and adaptation to the surrounding environment. Biohybrid robots exploit these mechanisms by embedding living components and combining them with nonliving elements.

Microrobotics for Micromanipulation.
2010Microrobotics is a recent field that has developed over the last 20 years. Following on from an earlier work published in 2002, La microrobotique (BOU 02), and in light of recent results within the filed, we decided to write a new book targeted at engineers, students and researchers.

Microrobot guidance through neuronavigation for microrobotic neurosurgery
