Promotion of DFU Wound Healing via BRG1–COL16A1 Axis in Fibroblasts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In normal wound healing, transcription factor BRG1 is upregulated and binds the COL16A1 promoter to enhance its expression, promoting fibroblast proliferation, migration, contraction, extracellular matrix deposition, and granulation tissue formation, thus accelerating wound closure.

Artichoke leaf extracts: Proteolytic activity, coagulant and HPLC analysis

open access: yesCiência e Agrotecnologia, 2021
The search for origin plant-based proteases increases gradually due to their diversity and stability over a wide range of pH and temperature. Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) flowers are a proteolytic vegetable source already studied, but their leaves are ...

Behaviour of milk protein ingredients and emulsions stabilised by milk protein ingredients in the simulated gastrointestinal tract : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Food Technology, Massey University, Manawatu, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Milk clotting behaviours in the stomach impact the digestion rates of protein and fat. A variety of milk protein products are applied as functional ingredients in many foods.

A Glucose‐Responsive Intelligent Antibacterial and Oxygen‐Producing Hydrogel Promotes the Healing of Diabetic Wounds by Regulating Cellular Heterogeneity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We have developed a glucose‐triggered on‐demand drug delivery CF‐CPGaMPN hydrogel based on borate ester bonds. It inactivates microbes, releases oxygen, and enables on‐demand drug release in high‐glucose environments to promote healing of diabetic wounds. Single‐cell sequencing reveals that the CF‐CPGaMPN hydrogel significantly alleviates dysfunctional

Extraction, Partial Purification and Characterisation of a Protease Extracted from Kesinai (Streblus Asper Lour.) Leaves, and its Potential Application in the Production of Cheddar Cheese [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Calf-rennet is a conventional milk-clotting enzyme, which is most widely used coagulant in cheese-making all over the world. The world wide reduced supply of calf rennet and increase of cheese production have led to a systematic investigation of calf ...

Decoding the Cardiac Immune Microenvironment and Fibroblast Crosstalk in Radiotherapy Combined with Immunotherapy‐Induced Cardiac Fibrosis Based on Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study highlights that radioimmunotherapy drives crosstalk between fibroblasts and immune cells (especially macrophages) in the cardiac microenvironment, with IL‐6 as the key mediator, and tocilizumab alleviates cardiac fibrosis by targeting this interplay.

ZBTB21 Is a Dual Suppressor of Pyroptosis and MHC‐I Antigen Presentation That Promotes Tumor Immune Evasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ZBTB21 is a transcription factor that epigenetically suppresses pyroptosis and MHC‐I antigen presentation, enabling tumor immune evasion. Genetic ablation of ZBTB21 activates pyroptotic cell death and enhances antigen presentation, recruiting CD8+ T cells to overcome immune checkpoint blockade resistance.

Possibility of Biarum carduchcorum application as vegetable rennet in production of Iranian white cheese [PDF]

open access: yesBihdāsht-i Mavādd-i Ghaz̠āyī, 2017
Numerous attempts have been made to replace calf rennet with another milk-clotting protease because of limited supply and the high price of calf rennet.Biarum carduchcorum is rich in protease activities, therefore it is a probable candidate for ...

Nanotherapeutic Macrophage‐Neuro Reprogramming Through Immunometabolic Crosstalk Mitigates Sepsis‐Induced Lung Injury and Neurologic Damage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SJNPs co‐deliver JHU083 and spermine to reprogram macrophage–neuron immunometabolic crosstalk in sepsis. By suppressing pro‐inflammatory M1 polarization and promoting NGF‐mediated neurotrophic signaling, SJNPs preserve pulmonary neuronal integrity, alleviate lung injury, and improve survival in murine sepsis models.
