EXPLORING THE MILK-CLOTTING PROPERTIES OF EXTRACTS FROM Bromelia pinguin FRUIT

open access: yes, 2017
Plants represent an attractive source of milk-clotting proteases with potential use for chymosin substitution in cheesemaking process. A crude enzymatic extract from B. pinguin fruit showed capacity to clot milk efficiently in a short time.

Cumulative Reproductive‐Lactation Burdens Induce a Systemic Immunometabolic Trade‐Off Between Milk Yield and Mammary Health of Dairy Cows

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
A population‐scale longitudinal transcriptomic atlas reveals how lactation stage and parity reshape systemic gene regulation in dairy cows. Multiomics‐inspired analyses uncover dynamic immune and metabolic adaptations that contribute to reproductive longevity and sustained productivity across the bovine lifespan.

Ca and P in buffalo milk: curd yield and milk clotting parameters

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2010
Aim of this study was to evaluate the mineral milk content and its relationship with the cheese yield and the rennet coagulation properties. Ca and P content, total and soluble, was determined on 70 milk samples along with the physic-chemical composition,

Hyperbranched poly‐L‐lysine surface‐engineered bioprosthetic heart valves with anti‐calcification, anti‐infection, and durability

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
The challenges of bioprosthetic heart valves (BHV) with respect to calcification, infection, and poor durability are tackled by surface engineering of hyperbranched poly‐L‐lysine (HBPL), providing a translational solution to improve long‐term valve performance.

Bio‐Inspired Carbon Spheres Enable Active Sites Multiscale‐Anchoring and Pre‐Reduction

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Combining the wet‐spinning technique with a “bionic design” concept, a bio‐inspired carbon sphere support with internal finger‐shaped pores and external craquelure structures is designed and constructed, and the corresponding carbon sphere reactor is fabricated through the multiscale anchoring and the pre‐reduced promoting, and verified for application

Accuracy of predicting milk yield from alternative milk recording schemes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
peer-reviewedThe effect of reducing the frequency of official milk recording and the number of recorded samples per test-day on the accuracy of predicting daily yield and cumulative 305-day yield was investigated.
