Nanomaterials for Allergy Diagnosis and Treatment: Advances, Opportunities and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanomaterials offer dual applications in allergy management. For diagnosis, nanomaterials enhance analytical sensitivity and improve detection in specific IgE and functional assays such as the basophil activation test (BAT). For allergen‐specific immunotherapy, nanomaterials enable allergen masking and controlled release, and effectively modulate the ...

Lactate‐Driven Restriction of Mitochondrial Permeability Transition Promotes Resistance to Chemo‐Immunotherapy by Suppressing Tumor PANoptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐derived lactate establishes a metabolic lock that drives chemo‐immunotherapy resistance by suppressing PANoptosis. Mechanistically, KAT8 lactylates the mitochondrial translocator ANT2, which recruits PGAM5 to dephosphorylate CypD. This cascade restricts mitochondrial permeability transition pore opening, preventing pro‐inflammatory mtDNA leakage.

Children's hypersensitivity to cow's milk - Public health aspects and impact on families [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Background and aims: Diet during childhood can have lifelong consequences for health. Cow’s milk is regarded as a basic food item in Sweden, but is also the most usual cause of adverse reactions during the first years of life.

RORγt‐APCs: The New Masters of Oral Tolerance

open access: yesBarrier Immunity, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Oral tolerance is defined by the hypo‐responsiveness of our body to fed antigens, and its failure can lead to immune‐mediated diseases, such as allergy, chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases. Decades of research have demonstrated that antigen‐presenting cells (APCs) promote oral tolerance by inducing regulatory T cells (Tregs) and/or ...

Effect of Body Condition Score at Calving on Adaptive Immune Function During Early Lactation in New Zealand Dairy Cows: Effect of calving body condition on adaptive immune function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The extent of postpartum negative energy balance in dairy cows is positively associated with body condition score (BCS) at calving. Results of epidemiological studies have indicated that calving BCS is positively correlated with several indicators of ...

Seed lipid profiles of perennial ryegrass: Global patterns and differentiation of ryegrass cultivars and Epichloë endophytes

open access: yesGrassland Research, EarlyView.
Seed lipid profiles from three ryegrass cultivars infected with AR501 show distinct changes in the medium‐chain diacylglycerols, triacylglycerols and sphingolipids. The differential peal LN745.5052_5.78 can be identified as PG 16:0_18:2 with the supporting ms2 fragmentation spectrum. Abstract Background Forage perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) has

Diagnosis and management of hypersensitivity reactions to vaccines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Introduction: Many countries in Europe now recommend and enforce mandatory vaccinations to improve vaccination coverage. Thus, the number of adverse events following immunization (AEFI) may show an increase.
