Microbial community characteristics and environmental response of water bodies in different environmental areas underground coal mine

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
To explore the microbial community characteristics and their response to environmental factors in different environmental areas of an underground coal mine, a study was conducted in the Xieqiao coal mine in Huainan, Anhui.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Impact of Saline Mine Water: Development of a Meromictic Reservoir in Poland [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The hard coal mines in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin of southern Poland have highly saline waste water. In the past, such water was often discharged into nearby reservoirs, which would completely change the physical– chemical properties of the ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Permanent under water storing of weathered mine waste after removal of fine fraction and addition of ash

open access: yes, 2014
Weathered sulphidic mine waste is a major environmental problem. An experiment was performed in order to study water covers for oxidized mine waste. In two experiments oxidized mine waste were covered with water, in one experiment the fine fraction was ...

Spatial distribution of acid mine drainage indexes in diferente water environments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The Iberian Pyrite Belt is one of the largest metallogenic province in the world. The characteristics of this region have a reflection on the existence of Acidic Mine Drainage (AMD) discharged into the river network affecting the water quality. A several

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Disaster-causing mechanism and prevention and control path of different types of coal seam roof water disasters in China

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
China is the country with the most complicated coal-forming and occurrence conditions in the world. The roof water disaster, caused by the diversity and complexity of the hydrogeological conditions of the coal seam roof, the mutuality and time-varying ...
