An efficient MPC algorithm for switched systems with minimum dwell time constraints

open access: yesAutomatica, 2022
This paper presents an efficient suboptimal model predictive control (MPC) algorithm for nonlinear switched systems subject to minimum dwell time constraints (MTC). While MTC are required for most physical systems due to stability, power and mechanical restrictions, MPC optimization problems with MTC are challenging to solve.

Mixed-integer optimal control under minimum dwell time constraints [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Programming, 2020
AbstractTailored Mixed-Integer Optimal Control policies for real-world applications usually have to avoid very short successive changes of the active integer control.Minimum dwell time(MDT) constraints express this requirement and can be included into the combinatorial integral approximation decomposition, which solves mixed-integer optimal control ...

Minimum perihelion distances and associated dwell times for near-Earth asteroids [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2021
ABSTRACT The observed near-Earth asteroid (NEA) population contains very few objects with small perihelion distances, say, $q \lesssim 0.2\, \mathrm{au}$. NEAs that currently have orbits with larger q might be hiding a past evolution during which they have approached closer to the Sun. We present a probabilistic assessment of the minimum

The effect of minimum dwell cycles on the environmental and fatigue response of RR1000 [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2014
Minimum dwell fatigue testing of nickel based superalloy FG RR1000 at 650 ∘C has led to significant reductions in fatigue life. The reduction in fatigue life under minimum dwell fatigue has been caused by relatively early and multiple crack initiation events from a highly oxidised surface.

Psychometric testing of the Fall Risks for Older People in the Community screening tool (FROP-Com screen) for community-dwelling people with stroke.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
OBJECTIVE:The Falls Risk for Older People in the Community assessment (FROP-Com) was originally developed using 13 risk factors to identify the fall risks of community-dwelling older people.

Improving centre-based group exercise participation of older adults using the behaviour change wheel

open access: yesBMJ Open Quality, 2021
An emphasis on active ageing could help to delay the onset of frailty. In Singapore, Senior Activity Centres provide free and guided group exercise sessions for older adults.

Performance Optimization LoRa Network by Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm to Determination of the Load Profiles in Dwellings

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
This paper presents a system to improve the performance of the Long Range (LoRa) network using an algorithm derived from the artificial bee colony (ABC), which obtains a minimum packet lost rate (PLR) in the LoRa network and allows to more accurately ...

Association of day length and weather conditions with physical activity levels in older community dwelling people.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
BackgroundWeather is a potentially important determinant of physical activity. Little work has been done examining the relationship between weather and physical activity, and potential modifiers of any relationship in older people.

The influence of dwelling in the Word within the Southern African Partnership of Missional Churches

open access: yesVerbum et Ecclesia, 2013
All of creation dwells within the Word of God, the Word who created us, the Word who redeems us (Ellison 2009:91). The article evaluated the influence that the communal spiritual practice of dwelling in the Word had in the missional transformation of ...

Level and Predictors of Minimum Dietary Diversity Among Pregnant Women in Eastern Ethiopia: Evidence From Facility-Based Cross-sectional Survey

open access: yesInquiry: The Journal of Health Care Organization, Provision, and Financing, 2023
Low dietary diversity is one of the most serious public health issues in developing countries, resulting in poor nutritional status, particularly vitamin and mineral deficiencies in pregnant women.
