The Minimum Dwelling: New Belgrade Flat and Reflections on the Minimum Today [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The concepts for the minimum dwelling investigated by inter-war modernists were further developed and largely applied in the construction of postwar large-scale housing. As elsewhere in post-war Europe, affordable housing was high on the agenda in Socialist Yugoslavia.

The Minimum Dwelling Revisited

2023
This book provides an intellectual history of the modernist ‘minimum dwelling’, exploring how early modernism saw mass housing as a primary vehicle for achieving the utopian transformation of society. It reappraises the often-overlooked 2nd and 3rd CIAM conferences (1929-31), addressing their engagement with the 'minimum dwelling' and revealing them ...

Minimum dwell time for stability and stabilization of switched linear systems

2008 7th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, 2008
In this paper, the problem of minimum dwell time for the stability and stabilization of switched linear systems is considered. First, using the method of multiple Lyapunov functions, we obtain an estimate for the minimum dwell time(MDT), which assures the exponential stability of switched linear systems.

Minimum Dwell Times for the Stability of Switched Systems with Multiple Stable Operating Points

2018 Annual American Control Conference (ACC), 2018
This work outlines a practical process, based on dwell times, for ensuring the stability of non-linear switched systems with a different stable equilibrium for each mode. Relevant Lyapunov theorems are discussed, followed by a derivation of an algorithm that determines dwell times for each system mode for guaranteeing stability.
