miR-210 hypoxamiR in Angiogenesis and Diabetes
Antioxidants & Redox Signaling, 2021Significance: microRNA-210 (miR-210) is the master hypoxia-inducible miRNA (hypoxamiR) since it has been found to be significantly upregulated under hypoxia in a wide range of cell types.

miR-210: a therapeutic target in cancer
Expert Opinion on Therapeutic Targets, 2012As the predominant miRNA regulated by hypoxia, miR-210 correlates with survival in cancer patients. miR-210 may play important roles in regulation of cell growth, angiogenesis and apoptosis in different human tumor models, indicating that it can be used as a therapeutic target. This review covers all literature related to miR-210 in malignant tumors ...

MiR-210: A potential therapeutic target against radiation-induced enteropathy
Radiotherapy and Oncology, 2014A previously undescribed and robust miR210 overexpression is shown in intestinal samples obtained from patients with radiation enteropathy and fibrotic cultured cells. In addition, miR-210 overexpression is repressed by antifibrotic treatment combining pentoxifylline and α-tocopherol.

A review on the role of miR-210 in human disorders
Pathology - Research and Practice, 2023MicroRNA-210 (miR-210) is a miRNA with imperative effects in the pathophysiology of human disorders. miR-210 is encoded by MIR210 gene on chromosome 11p15.5. The stem-loop of this miRNA resides in an intron of the AK123483 noncoding RNA. This miRNA is a major hypoxamir whose expression is increased in hypoxic condition in several types of cells.
