Polypropylene Nanoplastic Exposure to Respiratory Epithelial Barrier‐On‐Chip and Interfacial Interactions With Human Serum Albumin

Exposure to 305 nm PP NPs significantly disrupts the airway barrier‐on‐chip, reducing TEER, suppressing ZO‐1/ACE2 expression, and triggering ROS‐mediated apoptosis. In biological media, PP NPs exhibit a biphasic adsorption pattern, leading to the formation of a protein corona that increases their size to 364 nm.

Abstract This study reports an innovative approach for producing intrinsically coloured poly(3‐hydroxybutyrate) [P(3HB)] films by incorporating natural dyes—turmeric, paprika, annatto, beetroot and hibiscus—directly into the fermentation medium of Ralstonia solanacearum RS.

A chemo‐enzymatic colorimetric cascade for detecting ethylene glycol contamination

A chemo‐enzymatic cascade is developed for ethylene glycol (EG) detection. EG is oxidized by GoADH with C1‐mediated cofactor recycling to produce glycolaldehyde (GAL). GAL subsequently reacts with purpald to generate a detectable purple chromophore.

Abstract Diisopropyl ether (DIPE) is a branched ether used as a solvent, extractant, and gasoline additive. While aerobic biodegradation of DIPE has been documented, attenuation under anaerobic conditions (typical of groundwater impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates) remains poorly constrained.
