Mismatch loss in photovoltaic systems

Solar Energy, 2014
Abstract The effects of current mismatch and shading on the power output of single photovoltaic (PV) modules are well analyzed, but only few investigations address mismatch losses at a PV system level that also limit the annual energy yield. The simple question, what happens if PV strings with different numbers of modules are connected in parallel ...

Resistance to topoisomerase poisons due to loss of DNA mismatch repair

International Journal of Cancer, 2001
Sporadic breast carcinomas demonstrate microsatellite instability, reflecting the presence of DNA mismatch repair-deficient cells, in about one fourth of cases at the time of diagnosis. Loss of DNA mismatch repair has been reported to result in resistance not only to cisplatin and alkylating agents but also to the topoisomerase II poison doxorubicin ...

Simplified technique for calculating mismatch loss in mass production

Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, 2015
Abstract This paper describes a generalised approach to estimating mismatch loss for series connected cells, utilising the result that the deviation from maximum power as a function of deviation from maximum power–point–current is a relatively stable relationship for a wide range of cell performances.

Insertion loss of mismatched filters

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1975
The design of power line filters is difficult because the actual impedances of the equipment to be suppressed and of the power lines are often unknown. By means of simple geometric considerations it is easy to calculate the maximum and minimum insertion losses which give a more realistic characterization of power line filter performances.

Effects of mismatch losses in photovoltaic arrays

Solar Energy, 1995
Abstract Experimental and modeling results on the effects of mismatch losses in photovoltaic arrays are presented. Field tests conducted on each of the 192 modules are used to describe the variation in the properties of production run photovoltaic modules. Module specific estimates of a five-parameter module model are obtained by nonlinear regression.

Measurement of mismatch loss in CPV modul

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
A setup capable of simultaneously measuring I-V curves of a full string and its individual cells has been developed. This setup enables us to measure mismatch loss from individual cells in concert with various string combinations under varying field conditions. Mismatch loss from cells to plates at different off-track angles and mismatch from plates to

Insertion Loss of Mismatched EMI Suppressors

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1978
The insertion loss (IL) of EMI suppressors operating in systems with mismatched load and source impedances is studied. The design of an EMI suppressor is difficult because the actual impedances connected to it are often unknown. It has been recognized for a long time and by many authors [1]-[7] that the IL defined in a 50-ohm system (MIL-STD-220) is ...

Mismatch losses in PV power plants

Solar Energy, 2014
Abstract In this paper, two different PV arrays have been simulated in order to quantify the electrical mismatch loss in each one of them. The simulations have been performed both in the standard condition (STC) and in the dynamic conditions which implement the meteorological data from the two different locations.
