T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

Versatile DNA Hydrogel‐Mediated Delivery of Ginsenoside‐Encapsulated Small Extracellular Vesicles to Boost Diabetic Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a DNA hydrogel‐mediated delivery system, in which ginsenoside (GS) molecules are incorporated into small extracellular vesicles (sEV) secreted by mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and the formed complexes are then anchored in DNA hydrogels via aptamer‐CD63 affinity as “GS/sEV@DNAgels”, to improve diabetic wound repair.

Mitochondrial Transplantation as a Therapeutic Strategy for Inherited Mitochondrial Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial transplantation (MTx) offers a promising therapeutic avenue for mitochondrial diseases. This review comprehensively evaluates MTx, differentiating its feasibility for mtDNA‐ and nDNA‐based disorders. It examines its potential for genetic correction, alongside inherent limitations, technical challenges, and crucial ethical considerations ...

High-dose vitamin C promotes mitochondrial biogenesis in HCT116 colorectal cancer cells by regulating the AMPK/PGC-1α signaling pathway

open access: yesJournal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology
Background Mitochondrial dysfunction is closely associated with cancer development. Colorectal cancer (CRC) cells often exhibit altered energy metabolism, characterized by increased glycolysis and reduced oxidative phosphorylation.

Mitochondrial maintenance as a novel target for treating steroid-induced osteonecrosis of femoral head: a narrative review

open access: yesEFORT Open Reviews
The pathogenesis of steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SONFH) remains unclear; however, emerging evidence suggests that mitochondrial injury plays a significant role.

Establishment of a mouse model of TMAO‐induced cardiac injury and application of MICT intervention

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This study aims to explore the establishment of an animal model of cardiac injury induced by trimethylamine‐N‐oxide (TMAO), a metabolite secreted by gut microorganisms, and to investigate its application in moderate‐intensity continuous training (MICT) intervention.
