Sensor Network Based Collision-Free Navigation and Map Building for Mobile Robots [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Safe robot navigation is a fundamental research field for autonomous robots including ground mobile robots and flying robots. The primary objective of a safe robot navigation algorithm is to guide an autonomous robot from its initial position to a target or along a desired path with obstacle avoidance. With the development of information technology and

Wi-Fi Based Indoor Positioning System For Mobile Robots By Using Particle Filter [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Mobile robots have the capability to work in real-time autonomously. Autonomous behavior is strictly dependent on knowing the position of the mobile robot. The positioning of a mobile robot in an indoor area is a difficult task for only one sensor information is used.

Understanding the Role of Hydrogen and Oxygen in Electronic Phase Changes of Nickelates

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The reversible exchange of hydrogen and oxygen in solids is key to their electronic and electro‐chemical functionality. A combination of methods is employed to study the interaction of hydrogen with a prototypical quantum material in a non‐destructive and time‐dependent manner.

Robots Social Embodiment in Autonomous Mobile Robotics [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2004
This work aims at demonstrating the inherent advantages of embracing a strong notion of social embodiment in designing a real-world robot control architecture with explicit “intelligent” social behaviour between a collective of robots. It develops the current thinking on embodiment beyond the physical by demonstrating the importance of social ...

On the Self-stabilization of Mobile Robots in Graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Self-stabilization is a versatile technique to withstand any transient fault in a distributed system. Mobile robots (or agents) are one of the emerging trends in distributed computing as they mimic autonomous biologic entities. The contribution of this paper is threefold. First, we present a new model for studying mobile entities in networks subject to

Stratum Corneum‐Inspired Zwitterionic Hydrogels with Intrinsic Water Retention and Anti‐Freezing Properties for Intelligent Flexible Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel stratum corneum‐inspired zwitterionic hydrogel is developed for intelligent, flexible sensors, featuring intrinsic water retention and anti‐freezing properties. The quasi‐gel, composed of hygroscopic polymers and bound water, maintains its softness across a wide range of humidity.
