A refined limit on the predictability of human mobility [PDF]
It has been recently claimed that human movement is highly predictable. While an upper bound of 93% predictability was shown, this was based upon human movement trajectories of very high spatiotemporal granularity. Recent studies reduced this spatiotemporal granularity down to the level of GPS data, and under a similar methodology results once again ...

Accuracy of the Timed Up and Go test for predicting sarcopenia in elderly hospitalized patients
OBJECTIVES: The ability of the Timed Up and Go test to predict sarcopenia has not been evaluated previously. The objective of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of the Timed Up and Go test for predicting sarcopenia in elderly hospitalized patients ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Group exercises for patient with mobility limitation
Extract: physical mobility and exercise are necessary for people health. For patient with mobility limitation this issue has more importance because these exercises help them to return to normal function more effectively.

Correlates of Mobility Limitation in African Americans [PDF]
This study identified demographic and health-related characteristics that were related to mobility limitation in a sample of community-dwelling African Americans. The sample consisted of 602 community-dwelling African-American men and women ages 48-92 years at study inception. Participants who reported being limited "a lot" or "a little" in climbing one

Spatial fluid limits for stochastic mobile networks [PDF]
We consider Markov models of large-scale networks where nodes are characterized by their local behavior and by a mobility model over a two-dimensional lattice. By assuming random walk, we prove convergence to a system of partial differential equations (PDEs) whose size depends neither on the lattice size nor on the population of nodes.

Is there a biomedical explanation for socioeconomic differences in incident mobility limitation? [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The association between low socioeconomic status and poor physical functioning has been well described; biomedical factors may play an important role in explaining these differences.
