STUDY ON FREE VIBRATION ANALYSIS FOR HONEYCOMB SANDWICH STRUCTURE WITH DOUBLE CORES

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2018
The free vibration problem of the honeycomb sandwich structure with double cores was studied based on the Layerwise/Solid-Elements( LW/SE) and Fixed-interface Modal Synthesis Technique( FMST) of the dynamic substructure method. The governing equation and

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

A Modular Percussion Synthesis Environment

open access: yes, 2010
The construction of new virtual instruments is one long-term goal of physical modeling synthesis; a common strategy across various different physical modeling methodologies, including lumped network models, modal synthesis and scattering based methods ...

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Uncertainty propagation in locally damped dynamic systems

open access: yes, 2012
In the field of stochastic structural dynamics, perturbation methods are widely used to estimate the response statistics of uncertain systems. When large built up systems are to be modelled in the mid-frequency range, perturbation methods are often ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

A modal method for the simulation of nonlinear dynamical systems with application to bowed musical intruments

open access: yes, 2008
Bowed instruments are among the most exciting sound sources in the musical world, mostly because of the expressivity they allow to a musician or the variety of sounds they can generate. From the physical point of view, the complex nature of the nonlinear

RESEARCH AND SYNTHESIS OF THE MODAL REGULATOR OF THE TWO-MASS ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEM OF THE CRANE LIFTING MECHANISM

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Проблемы энергетики, 2018
Research of operation electromechanical system with considering resilient liaison is an actual task. Resilient interactions between the engine and the mechanism increase the load on the mechanical transmission and working equipment and accelerate their ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.
